Hailing from beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, Emerson is a Brooklyn based actor, director, and teaching artist who uses joy as his creative engine to pursue the good, the true, and the beautiful.

Emerson studied at some of New York’s premiere training studios: NYU The MSNR Studio, The Atlantic Acting School, The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, and The Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

Favorite acting credits include: Hamlet in Hamlet (Classics on the Rocks), Leontes in The Winter’s Tale, Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest (The Pop-Up Players), Dromio of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors (The Stella Adler Studio’s NYU Company Tour), Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet (Blue Ridge Young Actors Guild), Favorite directing credits include Coriolanus by William Shakespeare (Galileo Theatre Company) and Antigone by Sophocles (The Pop-Up Players). Emerson is a resident Teaching Artist with Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble, and has guest taught at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting’s Outside/In program, The Shakespeare Forum, The Firebird Project.

Outside of acting, directing, or teaching, Emerson loves video games (Bethesda RPGs), grilling smash burgers, ripping Pokémon trading card packs, and cuddling with his cats, Klaus and Cherry
